Court to hear all motions Tuesday in Coulterville man's ongoing murder case

The Honorable Judge James Campanella has asked all parties to come together in his courtroom on Tuesday at 10 a.m. to hear all motions relevant to the case of murder suspect William Farnsworth, of Coulterville, including a motion to suppress evidence in the case.

Farnsworth was charged in Perry County last November with the first-degree murder of Jeffrey Harris.

Farnsworth, 61, of Coulterville, allegedly shot Harris, 51, with a 12-gauge shotgun on Goldeneye Road in Coulterville after warning Harris not to follow him home.

Harris' body was found in his car by Perry County Sheriff's deputies. Farnsworth was reportedly at the scene when authorities arrived. Bond was set at $5 million for Farnsworth. If convicted, he could face 25 years to life in prison.
