Ivas John Blue Christmas coming Saturday

CARBONDALE - Carbondale Park District and First Southern Bank are presenting the 7th annual Ivas John Blue Christmas at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at The Varsity Center, 418 S. Illinois St., in Carbondale.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and refreshments will be served.

The concert features world-class music from local musicians Ivas John, Wil Maring and Robert Bowlin, The Jenny Johnson Band, The Swamp Tigers, The Gordons, Robbie Stokes, The Free Range Chicks and more.

Tickets are $17 per person and available at Life Community Center, 2500 W. Sunset St., in Carbondale and Joe's Records, 3000 W. DeYoung St., in Marion. Tickets are also available by calling (618) 549-4222.

A portion of the event proceeds will benefit Carbondale Super Splash Park.
