9 students honored with March character awards
Nine students at Chester Grade School were honored March 28 with a CGS Character Award for demonstrating the character trait of good "Decision-Making Skills,"
The winners are Peyton Cole, Nicandro Cortes, Aiden Davis, Alexis Eggemeyer, Dyson Helmers, Peyton Maxwell, Hunter Mifflin, Kendall Nanney and Trenton Westbrook.
Each student received a certificate and his or her name was announced both on the CGS television network and on the public address system. A letter was also sent to parents.
The character program is coordinated by Cindy Ponder, school social worker from the Perandoe Special Education District. Ponder is assisted by Jim Beers.
