About 400 local Republicans gathered at the Marion Pavilion Friday evening to hear the son of President Ronald Reagan speak at the annual Williamson County Tribute Gala.
Michael Reagan, an American political commentator, Republican strategist, former talk show host and author is the adopted son of the former president and his first wife, Jane Wyman.
The evening began with a meet and greet cocktail hour where Reagan mingled with area Republican leaders and posed for photographs.
There was also a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, dinner, and entertainment.
Reagan's message to local Republicans included advice to build their party "from the bottom up."
