Tilden man injured in two-vehicle crash

A 41-year-old Tilden man, Justin J.M. Pim, was injured on July 30 in a two-vehicle crash that he allegedly caused, according to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office.

According to the RCSO crash report, 23-year-old Brandon S. Kane, of Coulterville, was driving a 2004 Dodge Ram west on Liberty Street in Evansville when he slowed down to make a left turn onto Church Street.

Meanwhile, a 2007 Harley Davidson FLHX motorcycle, driven by Pim, was approaching the Dodge from the rear. Pim told police he saw the Ram slowing, so he went into the eastbound lane to go around it.

The Ram then reportedly turned left in front of the motorcycle, resulting in the collision. Pim was transported to Red Bud Regional Hospital via MedStar Ambulance, while Kane and a 21-year-old passenger, Dylan Clinton of Sparta, were uninjured.

Pim was cited for driving too fast for conditions and improper passing. The accident was reported at 6:10 p.m.
