• River-to-River Trail Society: The River-to-River Trail Society will offer its first guided hike of the spring, 2018 hiking season on Saturday, March 10, at Thacker Hollow in Gallatin County, Illinois. The hike is free, and open to the public. Hikers should meet at 10 a.m. at the Rim Rock parking lot on Karber's Ridge Road, about eight miles east of Route 34 and about three miles west of Route 1. This will be a hike of moderate difficulty, intended for people in good health who have done some walking. There will be several creek crossings, so feet may get wet. Boots or sturdy shoes, a pair of dry socks, and a hiking stick are strongly recommended. Hikers should bring their own water and a snack. No dogs, please. • 4-H Rally Night, 2018: The annual Rally Night for Saline County 4-H will be 6 to 8 p.m. at Eldorado Elementary School. The setup starts at 5:30 p.m. Games, food and come find out what 4-H has to offer.

• CASA Advocate Training: 6 p.m., CASA of Saline County, Inc., Harrisburg. Join CASA and become an advocate for abused and neglected children. This training is based on the NEW Curriculum. It is full of videos, case training and great information. This training runs for 5 weeks, after completion the advocate is required to have 6 hours of court observation, which is on Tuesday afternoons.
