Du Quoin food pantry asking for donations

The Faith Liberty Mission Church Food Pantry is looking for sponsors to help them with monthly donations, and to help the church buy food each month at a reduced cost.

The church, at 21 N. Maple St., in Du Quoin, hosts a food pantry that is open from 9 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday for people to come in and select food to take home.

The church is requesting monetary donations so it can buy meat and other perishables to supplement what people donate. They are also looking for food suppliers who would be willing to sell them food at a reduced cost.

Donations can be taken at the church virtually any time. The church is a 501c3 charity, and so donations are tax-deductible.

Church members are also willing to pick up donations of food and other supplies.

If you can help, call Faith Liberty Mission Pastor Max Voyles at (618) 559-0336.
