More than 1,000 works to be shown in Du Quoin student art show

The annual Spring Art Show on April 19 will feature artwork from every student at Du Quoin Middle School and Du Quoin Elementary School, according to organizers Candace Campanella and Andrea Collins, Du Quoin Unit District 300's art educators.

More than 1,000 pieces of work will be displayed, recognizing every student from kindergarten through 8th grade.

The show will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 19 at the at the Du Quoin Elementary/Middle School.

In addition to art, there will be face painting, a photo booth, coloring page stations, snacks and DJ Christian Feltmeyer, so bring the family. Awards will be announced at 6:15 p.m. Admission is free.
