Police seek suspect in theft at Hobby Lobby

Carbondale Police are seeking assistance in identifying a suspect in a retail theft investigation.

Police say that on May 2, an unknown male suspect stole merchandise from Hobby Lobby, located at 1150 E. Main St.

The suspect reportedly concealed merchandise in a light colored tote bag and left the store.

The suspect is a white male who was wearing a navy blue "Polo Sport" branded sweater, dark colored jeans and black/white Adidas brand tennis shoes.

Anyone who can identify the suspect or anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the police department at 618-457-3200 or Crime Stoppers at 618-549-COPS.

The investigation into the incident is continuing.
