Carrie M. Miers of Ellis Grove

Carrie M. Miers, 74, of Ellis Grove, Illinois, passed away at 11:49 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester, Illinois.

She was born to Ralph and Margaret (nee Knott) Seymour on December 25, 1943 in Red Bud. She married Allen Miers on January 11, 1960 in Aurora, Illinois. He survives.

Carrie was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Ellis Grove.

Survivors include her husband, Allen Miers of Ellis Grove; three children, Chris DeClue of Fenton, Mo., Kelly Miers of Ellis Grove and Mark (Dawn) Miers of Perryville, Mo.; two siblings, Robert (Linda) Seymour of Snowflake, AZ. and Linda Blow of Ellis Grove; five grandchildren, Erica (Dave) Shields, Ben (Amanda) Miers, Drew DeClue, Krysta (Ty) Korando and Racheal Miers; eight great grandchildren, Avery, Aubrey, Morgan, Jacob, Vacey, Lane, Raygen, and Autumn; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Richard Seymour; and two sisters, Norma Hall and Shirley McDonough.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, at First Baptist Church, Ellis Grove, with Rev. Bob Seymour officiating. Interment will be in Ellis Grove City Cemetery, Ellis Grove.

Visitation will be 5-8:00 p.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, and 10-11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Ellis Grove.
