Old Time Jam to headline Sandwiches and Strings

Carbondale Community Arts will play host to a special performance of Cristaudo's Old Time Jam for the April "Sandwiches and Strings" concert at Artspace 304.

The group will perform live acoustic Appalachian and Americana music over the lunch hour beginning at noon Thursday, April 18.

Band members include Bob Chamberlin (banjo), Lew Hendrix (banjo), Mike Shanahan (banjo and guitar) and Bob Swenson (guitar). The group formed through a shared passion for traditional Americana music and banjo playing. They began meeting regularly at Cristaudo's for Wednesday morning jam sessions, and the Cristaudo's Old Time Jam was born. The group rarely performs outside of their weekly meetups.

The Sandwiches and Strings series is free and open to the public; bring a lunch and enjoy the live music.

Artspace 304 is located at 304 W. Walnut St. in downtown Carbondale.
