CCHS International Club holds Multicultural Festival

Culture. Diversity. Unity.

Those words, say CCHS International Club President Dania Abou-Jabal, represent what awaited visitors at the CCHS Multicultural Festival Wednesday evening.

Participating in the event with informational tables were representatives from more than 30 area organizations and cultural communities - many of them CCHS organizations, but many others from the Carbondale community, including the Rotary, the Kiwanis and Keep Carbondale Beautiful.

A program in the auditorium kicked off with a welcome from Abou-Jabal, followed by a performance from Rose Gold: the CCHS K-Pop Dance Club. Mina Dumre Pandey of Nepal contributed dance, as did members of the Salsa-dancing Party Starters. The International Club concluded the program with a slideshow of monuments around the world. The evening also included food, music and extra credit for CCHS students.
