Jason Tanner of Carbondale

Jason Tanner, 46, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020, in Murphysboro.

Jason was born Sept. 6, 1973, in Herrin, the son of Richard F. Tanner and Barbara (Livergood) Skelton.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Skelton; father Richard Tanner; sisters April Tellor, Becky Kimmel and Michelle Smith; many nieces and nephews; and so many friends across the United States.

Services will be Monday, Feb. 10, 2020, at Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale with interment at Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
