How to navigate Perry County government with COVID-19 restrictions

Perry County Government has taken steps to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 situation.

<b>Government building</b>

The Perry County Government Building, 3764 State Route 13/127 in Pinckneyville, is closed to the public until further notice. Offices of the County Clerk and Recorder, County Treasurer, Supervisor of Assessments and the Solid Waste Management/Zoning Department are operating, but contact them before coming in.

The public will have limited access to the Government Building to attend county board meetings as scheduled, subject to social distancing.

The County Clerk and Recorder encourages payments to be made online or via cashier's check.

The courthouse, 1 Public Square, in Pinckneyville, remains open, but the circuit clerk and state's attorney are limiting contact in normal business operations. For routine questions, please contact each office instead of coming in.

Circuit Clerk: Will no longer accept cash or in-person credit/debit card at this time for payment of fines and associated court-assessed costs.
