GOLCONDA -- Delbert Alexander "Bobby" Ford, 48, passed away Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
He was born in Harrisburg to Delbert and Mary (Young) Ford. He married Michelle Carretti on May 3, 2011, and she survives.
Delbert was a truck driver for Martin Marietta and member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
He loved his horses and the Nine Day Trail Ride, hunting and fishing outdoors, and he dearly loved his family.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle of Golconda; son, Austin Anderson of Carrier Mills; daughters, Kassidy Ford of Harrisburg, Abby Horton and husband Matt of Rosiclare, Ella Staggs of Rosiclare and Jamie Allen Staggs-Ford of Golconda; son, Benjamin Allen-Ford of Golconda; grandchildren, Nevaeh Ford of Harrisburg and Noah Horton of Rosiclare; sisters, Virginia Davidson and husband Allen of Eldorado, Debbie Hunt and husband George of Carrier Mills, Rosemary Clark and husband Clifford of Wayne City, Ruth Widick and husband Tom of Eldorado and Lisa Driver and husband Keith of Rosiclare.
Other survivors include his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Susan and Ronald Carretti; and his horses, Snickers, Moon Beam, Bullet and Angel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters. Tammie Cummins and Brenda Huett and her husband Dan.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, in Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with the Rev. Leroy Hicks officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
