Forrest Meadows of Dongola

Forrest Ray Meadows, 79, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017 surrounded by his loving wife, Margaret "Jane," and family at Anna Rehabilitation and Care Center in Anna.

Forrest was born April 6, 1938, in Alto Pass, the son of William Jesse and Clorene C. (Harris) Meadows.

He married Margaret Jane (Gearhart) on Sept. 24, 1962, in Gorham. They shared more than 55 years of marriage.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Meadows, of Dongola, his children Connie Sue Meadows of Karnak; Brian Ray and wife Sandra Meadows of Mounds; Michael Lee and wife Brandy of Metropolis; Melissa Ann Casper of Dongola; Crystal Gayle and husband Wes Johnson of Dongola; and 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, brother Herschel Lee Meadows of Cambria and sister Linda Kay Stevens of Dongola

Forrest was preceded in death by his parents, William and Clorene Meadows, and two brothers.

Services will be held Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at Walker Funeral Home of Alto Pass, with Brother Pete Vinson officiating. Burial was at Alto Pass Cemetery with Military Rites.
