Beatrice L. Reeves of Tamaroa

Beatrice L. Reeves, 98, of Tamaroa, passed away at 7:50 a.m., Monday, Feb. 5, 2018 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.

Bea had been an inspector at Forrest City and Country Set Garment Factory. She was a member of the Tamaroa Christian Church.

Bea was also a member of the Tamaroa Birthday Club and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She was born June 29, 1919 at Pinckneyville, the daughter of Harry and Minnie (Rudloff) Wright.

She married Paul F. Reeves on Sept. 5, 1937 at Tamaroa and he preceded her in death on July 22, 1987.

She is survived by one daughter-in-law: Zigrid Reeves of Colorado; three grandchildren: Lisa Maple and husband Tom of Du Quoin; Kelly Estep and husband Eric of Tamaroa and Vince Mattocks and wife Soneta of Colorado, and three great grandchildren: Damon, Hailee, Josie and Kenny.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter: Pat Long; one son: Donald Reeves; one sister, three brothers and one grandson.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Bro. Arven Kirkpatrick officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the Tamaroa Christian Church or MS Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
