Lela Frances 'Frannie' Roberts of Harrisburg

Lela Frances "Frannie" Roberts, age 71, of Harrisburg, passed away at 8:32 a.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Frannie was born on Nov. 14, 1946, in Hardin County to the late James Jefferson Mason and Roberta S. (Fritts) Mason. Frannie married Wendell Roberts on Oct. 26, 1974 and he survives.

Frannie was a beautician and owner of Frannie's. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Harrisburg and she was a Kentucky Colonel. She directed the Old Friends Community Gospel Choir, and she was a member of the Southern Illinois Homecoming Gospel Choir. She taught continuing education for cosmetology, and she was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and the Daughter's of the American Revolution.

Frannie is survived by her husband, Wendell Roberts of Harrisburg; a sister, Carol Foster of Harrisburg; a brother, John Mason of Elizabethtown; nephew, Larry Wayne Miller and wife Natalie of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and nieces and nephews, Daniel Miller, Anthony Miller, Janie (Bobby) Fields, Danny Hutchinson, Rachel Hutchinson, James Hutchinson, Brian Mason and Deborah K. Wallace.

Frannie was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Thelma Crane, and a brother, Bill Mason.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Gary Clark and the Rev. Mike Weaver will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.
