James Fredrick Crackel Jr. of New Burnside

James Fredrick Crackel Jr., 50, of New Burnside, died at 6:20 a.m., Friday May 18, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Tuesday May 22, 2018, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Visitation was Monday at the funeral home. Eastern Star Rites were held Monday, followed by Masonic Rites. Burial will be in Garris Cemetery near Stonefort with military rites held by the Carrier Mills and Harrisburg American Legions and the Army National Guard Ritual Teams.

He was born on Aug. 27, 1967 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to the late James Fredrick Sr. and his wife Bonnie (Ingall) Crackel, both of whom died in 1979. He was then raised by his uncle and aunt, Robert and Teresea Crackel.

He married the former Roxanne Murphy on Oct. 19, 2006 and she survives.

He was retired from the Tennessee National Guard, a member of the Ozark Pentecostal Church, Stonefort Masonic Lodge and Stonefort Eastern Star.

He love doing yardwork and was passionate about the University of Tennessee Volunteer sports.

He is survived by his wife, Roxanne Crackel, of New Burnside; three children, James (Abrea) Crackel III of Union City, Tennessee, Jessica (Jonathon) Reyna of Union City, Tennessee and Hunter Crackel of New Burnside; two grandchildren, Esau Reyna and Evy James Reyna both of Union City, Tennessee; two sisters, Mandy (Greg) Hopper of Atoka, Tennessee and Jennifer Crackel of Mayfield, Kentucky; best friend, Joe Love of Union City, Tennessee; mother- and father-in-law, Katie and Lindell Lollar of Carrier Mills; sister-in-law, Janie Horton and fiance Nicky Schapmire of Stonefort; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Tammy Crackel and Jonnie Watkins; and brother, Scott Crackel.
