Ret. Sr. MSgt. Donald Ward Hutson, formerly of Sesser

Ret. Sr. MSgt. Donald Ward Hutson, 92, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Burkburnett with the Rev. Bill Liggett officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.

Donald was born Oct. 13, 1925 in Sesser to Moses Brooks Hutson and Wanda (Ward) Hutson. He served our country proudly in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, and in the Special Operations Group (SOG). He married the love of his life, Roxie, on April 6, 1944, in Sesser. Donald enjoyed riding in The Hotter-N-Hell Hundred and loved being outdoors hunting and fishing. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Moses and Wanda Hutson; his wife of over 70 years, Roxie Hutson; and his sister, Billie Marie Elders.

He is survived by his son, Donald G. Hutson and wife Christina of Irving, Texas; his daughter, Janet M. Lindsey and husband Everett of Paris, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Larry Wayne Bradford of Garland, Texas, Kristi Dawn Bradford of Austin, Texas, David J. Hutson of Ft. Worth, Texas, Tessa Marie Denney of Flower Mound, Texas, and Stephanie Lindsey of Seattle, Wash.; one great-grandson; and five great-granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church in Burkburnett, 316 East 4th St., Burkburnett, TX 76354.
