Sadie Mae Scott of Harrisburg

Sadie Mae Scott, age 58, of Harrisburg, passed away Aug. 26, 2018 at 4:49 a.m. in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Sadie was born on Oct. 14, 1959 in Harrisburg to the late Rosa L. (Mays) Scott and Edward B. Scott Sr.

She is survived by her son, Joshua Scott of Harrisburg, and grandsons Devante Newlin and Hunter Scott and granddaughter Layla Scott, all of Harrisburg.

Other survivors include sisters Barbara (Gary) James of Carbondale; Tanya Scott of Harrisburg; Karen Scott of Los Angeles; Kim Scott of Randolph, New Jersey; Rena Scott of Los Angeles; Monique Cosentino of Los Angeles; and Suzanne Scott of Herrin.

Also surviving are nephews Benjamin Scott and Gabe Portee of Harrisburg; Matthew Cosentino and Seth Scott of Los Angeles; Caleb Portee McKinley (James) of Carbondale; Marques Scott of Bloomington; one niece, Jasmine Scott of Harrisburg; and a host of great nieces and nephews.

Sadie was preceded in death by her parents. Rosa L. and Edward B. Scott Sr.; two brothers, Edward B. Scott Jr. and Thomas Mays; one sister, Vivecca Scott; and three nephews, Bryce Scott, Adam Scott and Judson Scott.

Visitation for Sadie will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, 2018 at Reed Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
