Virginia Rose Case of Shawneetown

Virginia Rose Case. 73, of Shawneetown passed away suddenly on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.

She was born on Nov. 20, 1944 in Shawneetown, the daughter of the late Richard Sr. and Dollie (Arnold) Frier. Virginia married Carl J. "Butch" Case on May 23, 1964. Butch preceded Virginia in death on May 20, 2004.

She attended First Baptist Church in Shawneetown.

Virginia is survived by her two sons, Greg (Erin) Krikie of Junction and Richard "Richie" and Cheryl Case, also of Shawneetown; five grandchildren, Dylan (Danielle) Krikie of Norris City, Joseph (Lauren) Case of Shawneetown, Tyler Case of Shawneetown, Emily Case of Shawneetown and Jayden Krikie of Junction; and one great-granddaughter, Landry Jo Case.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Doris Ann Kilmer; and her brother, Richard Frier Jr.

Visitation for Virginia will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018 at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17 with Pastor Jack Hall officiating.

Burial will be at the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
