Cynthia Louise Crawford of Harrisburg

Cynthia Louise Crawford, 69, of Harrisburg, passed away at 2:50 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 at her residence in Harrisburg.

Cynthia was born on Nov. 22, 1948 in Centralia to the late Mark and Margaret (Ballance) Cox. She married Carl Crawford, her high school sweetheart, on Sept. 7, 1969 and he preceded her in death on June 7, 2002.

Cynthia was a clerk in the Saline County Circuit Clerk's office for 16 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Harrisburg and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority-XI Theta Tau Chapter.

Cynthia's father was a funeral director and she was raised in Cox and Martin Funeral Home in Patoka. She really enjoyed her Fairfax Drive and Lexington Manor neighbors.

Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Beth (Todd) Bittle of Harrisburg; son, Clay (Darcey) Crawford of Warsaw, Poland; five grandchildren, Patrick Bittle, Sarah Bittle and Andrew Bittle all of Harrisburg, and Margot Crawford and Malcolm Crawford of Warsaw; a brother, Bill (Sandy) Cox of Patoka; sister-in-law Carol Crabb of Harrisburg; and sister-in-law Nellie Koons of Clinton.

In addition to her parents and husband Carl, Cynthia was preceded in death by brothers-in-law Jerry Crabb, Bob Koons and Dean Crawford.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church of Harrisburg, 122 W. Poplar St., officiated by the Rev. Ron George. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 5:30 to 8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 12, 2018 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or to Harrisburg Athletics, and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
