Kenneth E. Buch Sr. of Chester

Kenneth E. Buch Sr., 69, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2019 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester.

He was born to the late Edwin and Ruth (nee Koester) Buch on April 10, 1949 in Red Bud, Illinois.

Kenny married Joyce Heuman on June 19, 1993 in Chester; she survives. He worked as a guard at Menard Correctional Center in Chester for 34 years.

Kenny was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester. He was also a precinct committeeman for the local Republican Party.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Buch, of Chester; son Kenneth (Jessica) Buch Jr., of Ames, Iowa; two daughters, Kimberly (Nick) Bagby of Belleville, Illinois and Peggy Yeager of Ashville, Alabama; a sister, Donna (Richard) Wegener of Evansville, Illinois; three brothers, Edgar (Sharon) Buch and Eugene (Margie) Buch, both of Red Bud and Karl (Sheila) Buch of O'Fallon, Illinois; brother-in-law Charles Heuman of Walsh, Illinois; and six grandchildren, Derrick Buch, Laura Barton, Jacob Stone, Alice Buch, Rebecca Bagby and Mackenzie Bagby.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral service for Kenny Buch Sr. will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019 at Pechacek Funeral Homes in Chester, with the Rev. Justin Massey officiating. Interment will follow at Ellis Grove City Cemetery, in Ellis Grove.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14 and before the service on Tuesday from 7:30 to 10 a.m., both at Pechacek Funeral Homes in Chester.
