Ann Hathaway Jensen, 78, born April 19, 1940 in Aransas Pass, Texas, passed away Jan. 18, 2019 in Omaha, Nebraska.
Ann grew up in Chester. She attended public school, graduating in the Chester High School Class of 1958. She worked for many years as a secretary in Chester, St. Louis and Dallas before settling in Jacksonville, Florida.
Ann was an active member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church, the St. Augustine Presbytery Women and the Red Hat Brawdy Broads. She was known for her deep friendships, her generosity and her hats.
Her parents, Vaughn and Lenora (Tilton) Hathaway, of Chester, preceded her in death.
Ann is survived by her stepson Russell (Dawn) Jensen of Omaha; granddaughters Audrey and Amelia Jensen; her brother, Vaughn (Alice) Hathaway of Charlotte, North Carolina; nephews Eric (Kristin), Bradley (Elizabeth), Joel (Shannon) and John (Rebecca) Hathaway; nieces Christen (James) Marshall and Cherith (Drew) Peterson; grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Feb. 23, 2019 in Orange Park, Florida.
