Wanda Mae (Johnson) Lee of McLeansboro

Wanda Mae (Johnson) Lee, 94, of McLeansboro, Illinois, died at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019 at Hamilton Memorial Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, in McLeansboro.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25 at Ten Mile Baptist Church, McLeansboro.

The funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Ten Mile Baptist Church, officiated by Evangelist Tim Lee and Brother Mark Lee. The church doors will open at 9 a.m.

Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, McLeansboro.

Wanda was born on June 18, 1924 in Herrin, Illinois to Ernest Johnson and Margaret (Moorman) Johnson.

She married the Rev. John R. Lee on July 15, 1945 in Dale, Illinois and became a homemaker. He died on April 18, 2009.

Her church affiliation was with New Salem Baptist Church, in Dale.

Wanda is survived by one daughter, Jennifer (Danny) Wilkerson of Talking Rock, Georgia; and four sons, Tim (Connie) Lee of Rowlett, Texas, Terry Lee of Fishers, Indiana; Roger (Penny) Lee of McLeansboro and Mark (Rita) Lee of Pinckneyville.

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Veronica Henley of Braselton, Georgia, Derrick Wilkerson of Holly Springs, Georgia, Brian (Jennifer) Lee of Garland, Texas, Jana (Steve) Hooten of Rowlett, Texas, Amber (Jonathan) Livesay of Garland, Texas, Lori (Michael) Halligan of Tallahassee, Florida, Amy (Mark) Brown of Crawfordville, Florida, Bethany (Jason) Moore of McLeansboro, Brittany (Michael) McConachie of Pinckneyville and Courtney (Paul) Nehrkorn of Pinckneyville; great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; her brother Ralph; four sisters, Savanna Doty, Thelma Henson, Kellita Askew and Morna Mathews; great-granddaughter Ally Michelle Hooten; and great-grandson Dayson Eric Moore.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Salem Baptist Church. They will be accepted at the church or at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro.

Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of arrangements.
