Linda "Lin" K. Forgas, 81, of Chester, passed away at 6:49 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri.
She was born to the late Lavern and Helen (nee Frazier) Halcom on Jan. 25, 1938 in Metropolis, Illinois.
Linda married Edward E. Forgas on Nov. 16, 1957 in Springfield; and he survives.
She was a homemaker.
Linda was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chester. She was also a member of the Chester Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the St. Mary's Altar Sodality. She enjoyed spending time with family and traveling.
She is survived by her husband Edward Forgas of Chester; two daughters, Teresa (Richard) Huey of Chester and Elizabeth Kayser of St. Louis; one stepsister, Carol Farmer of Lincoln, Illinois; four grandchildren, Corie, Michael, Christina and Jack; seven great-grandchildren, Logan, Payton, Arieanna, Shaelin, Rhylann, Roselene and Anna.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Keith Forgas.
A funeral Mass for Linda K. Forgas will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chester, with the Very Reverend Eugene H. Wojcik, V.F. officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Chester.
Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday prior to the Mass, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chester.
Memorials to St. Mary's Catholic School, in Chester, would be appreciated.
