Lenora Ilene Lear of Greenville, Kentucky

Lenora Ilene Lear, 80, of Greenville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

She was born on Dec. 12, 1938 in Saline County, the daughter of Lawrence Edward Carnett and Murle Myrtle Sonheaver Carnett.

She married Herbert Wayne Lear on Dec. 11, 1959 and moved to Greenville, Kentucky. She was a devoted wife for more than 58 years. Before her battle with Parkinson's disease and dementia, she was full of life, laughs and love for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Kathleen Drumm, Mary Patton, and Halleen Carnett; and three brothers, Nolen Carnett, Walter Carnett, and Bob Carnett.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert Wayne Lear; a daughter, Cindy (Steve) Black of Harrisburg; two sons, Jerry (Penny) Lear of Greenville, Kentucky and Gary (Cara) Lear of Greenville, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Dakota (Jessica) Lear of Greenville, Kentucky; Kayla (John) Lear Murphy of Greenville, Kentucky; Merissa (Curtis) West of Temple, Georgia; Chase (Sandy) Lear of Temple, Georgia; Lisa (Bart) Schiff of Harrisburg; and Lori (Eric) McClusky of Harrisburg; 11 great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Alexis, Lillian and Christina of Greenville, Kentucky; Lexie, Hunter, Cayden and Roxanne of Georgia; and Camden, Madison and Lynlei of Harrisburg; a sister, Jeri Delucia of Carrier Mills; a brother, Cecil Carnett of Auburn; a brother-in-law, William Lear of Henderson, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Ruby Smith of Christopher; a host of nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and her best friend of more than 50 years, Lou Williams.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
