Winifred Lee Crim, formerly of Harrisburg

Winifred Lee Crim, age 56, of Murphysboro, Illinois, passed away at 9:44 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Murphysboro.

Winifred was born on June 29, 1962, in Harrisburg, to the late Kenneth Mays and Clara Crim. He was a free spirit and a member of Harvest Deliverance Center.

Winifred is survived by his children, Kenneth Crim, Satin Crim, Sasha Crim, Renee Crim, Caleb Crim, Jonathan Cailler, Christopher Mitchell, Shannon Smith, Matthew Smith, Robert Smith and Rebecca Smith; 19 grandchildren; sisters Jeanetta Crim and Regina Crim; a brother, Leon Crim; uncle Richard Crim; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Winifred was preceded in death by a son, Winifred Crim, II; a brother, Joseph Crim; a sister Elizabeth Crim; aunts Lula Pittman and Delores Mays; and uncles Robert Crim and Clarence Crim.

Funeral services for Winifred Lee Crim will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg, where the Rev. Ownly Williams will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the service.
