Georgia Haseker, formerly of Carrier Mills

Georgia Haseker, age 77, resident of the Villas Of Holly Brook in Harrisburg and formerly of Carrier Mills, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, surrounded by her family.

She was born Georgia Rae Moore on Aug. 4, 1942 to George and Thelma (Owen) Moore.

She is preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband, Melvin Haseker.

Georgia is survived by her children, Richard Gibson, Regina (Maggie) Gibson, Christina (Nick) Cockrum, Sharon (Larry) Williams and Greg (April) Jackson; her grandchildren, Lane (Briana) Millenbine, Dallas (Kennedy) Cockrum, Tyler-Rae Foster, Alexandria Jackson, Dylyn Ryker, Kaitlynn Jackson, Questen Stover, Karissa Cockrum, Karsyn Stover, Angelina Cockrum and Noah Woolard; and her beloved cousin, Donna Thornton.

Georgia asked to be cremated and that no funeral be held. A memorial service is set for 3 p.m. Saturday March 21, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Carrier Mills with Pastor Ryan Beck officiating. There will be a visitation for family and friends after 1:30 p.m. on Saturday until the time of the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church.

Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is assisting the family with arrangements.
