Wayne 'Dee' Gidcumb, formerly of Harrisburg

Wayne "Dee" Gidcumb, age 69, of Titusville, Florida passed away March 10, 2020 in Parrish Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Wayne was born July 26, 1950, son of the late Wayne and Kathleen Gidcumb of Harrisburg. He attended Harrisburg Township High School.

Wayne was a graduate of Vanderbilt University's School of Engineering. He specialized in roadway design and consulting during his civil engineering career. He worked as a professional engineer primarily in Illinois, but also Michigan and Washington, D.C.

No matter where he lived, he loved to fish, but always released his catch. After moving to the "Space Coast" of Florida, he enjoyed getting up early to watch the rocket launches, observe the manatees in the shallows and visit his favorite fishmongers.

Dee is survived by his son, Brian Gidcumb; daughter, Christi Gidcumb; and sister, Constance Arnold. His cousin Bob Wiley and wife Bobbie provided great support for Wayne during his illness.

No funeral services are planned, in accordance with Wayne's wishes. North Brevard Funeral Home is working with the family.
