Timothy Nils McClanahan of Du Quoin

Timothy Nils McClanahan, 64, of Du Quoin, Illinois, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Carbondale.

Tim had been an operator in the construction field. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Du Quoin Eagles.

Tim was born April 23, 1956 at Du Quoin, the son of Raymond and Erma (Richerson) McClanahan.

He is survived by two sons, Jarrod (Nicole) McClanahan of Du Quoin and Jeremy (Amy Musko) McClanahan of Marion; one daughter, Jennifer McClanahan of Du Quoin; five grandchildren, Jayden, Maycie, Avrey, Bryson and Piper; two sisters, Glenna (Roger) Harrison of Du Quoin and Linda (Tom) Stewart of Robinson; two brothers, Raymond (Hermalinda) McClanahan of Du Quoin, and Terry (June) McClanahan of Elkville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joe McClanahan and Steven McClanahan.

Graveside services will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin, with the Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus and by the signing of an executive order by Gov. J.B. Pritzker, attendance will be limited and social distancing will be enforced.

Friends may make memorials to the family, which will be accepted at the funeral home.
