Cards caravan to make a stop in Marion

MARION - The "Hub of the Universe" will be one stop of the planned 20-city tour when the St. Louis Cardinals Caravan takes to the road next weekend.

The Cards Caravan will make a stop at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center on Jan. 19 at noon.

Admission is free to the event with the doors opening at 11 a.m.

The first 400 fans through the door, ages 15 and under, will get an autograph ticket that guarantees one autograph from each current and former player at the event.

Cardinals players Tyler O'Neill, Ryan Helsley, Andrew Knizner, and Seth Elledge will be joined by alumni Rick Ankiel and Kerry Robinson in Marion and broadcaster Polo Ascencio.

Along with autograph opportunities for the kids, there will also be raffle prizes including 2020 Cardinals tickets and Cardinals gear.
