Local Swimmers in St. Louis
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Six members of the Du Quoin Swimming Indians-winter competitors for the Saluki Swim Club-participated at the FAST Winter Invitational last weekend.
The indoor event was held at Lindbergh High School in St. Louis with Jerry Kuhnert bringng home second and third place medals.
Kuhnhert was second in the 100 Breaststroke, third among 11-12 entrants in the 50 Breaststroke and also managed to place 11th in the 100 Fly.
A rundown of Swimming Indians-with their age divisions and FAST finishes-are listed below.
Jerry Kuhnert (11-12): 100 IM, 13th; 50 Free 13th; 50 Fly (32.39) 6th; 100 Breaststroke 2nd (77.87); 100 Free 18th; 100 Fly 11th; 50 Breaststroke 3rd (35.41) and 200 IM 18th.
Miranda Payne (13-14): 100 Backstroke 44th; 200 Breaststroke 23rd; 100 Freestyle 46th; 200 IM 43rd; 50 Free 40th; 100 Breaststroke 12th (1:23.11) and 200 Backstroke 32nd.
Caleb Gomes (10&under): 100 IM 20th; 50 Free 21st; 100 Breaststroke 13th.
Grace Gomes (11-12): 100 IM 39th; 50 Free 55th; 100 Backstroke 51st and 50 Fly 33rd.
Cody Bailey (11-12): 50 Free 29th; 100 Backstroke 21st; 50 Fly 14th and 200 Free 23rd.
Trevor Jones (11-12): 100 IM 22nd; 50 Free 17th; 100 Backstroke 19th; 200 Freestyle 18th; 100 Freestyle 27th; 100 Fly 21st; 50 Breaststroke 28th and 200 IM 26th.
