Cancer Society Relay for Life Kickoff Thursday

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The American Cancer Society invites individuals who want to honor cancer survivors (anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer) and caregivers, or pay tribute to those who have lost their battle with cancer to participate in the 2009 Relay for Life. An important meeting for this year's relay will be held on Thursday, February 5 at 6:30 p.m. in Du Quoin at Timeout Sports (formerly Klub Kahuna) at 200 East Main Street in downtown Du Quoin.

This year's theme is "Silver Globe 25 Years of HOPE." today, people all over the globe have joined the fight against cancer. Two local children who are survivors will be honored. Team members have raised over $100,000 in the last three years.
