Animal Control Officer appointed
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[On January 20, 2009 the Chester City?Council approved the hiring of Elanna Bradley to fill the position of Animal Control officer. Mrs. Bradley will work out of the Chester Police Department and serve as the primary enforcer of state and local animal control laws and ordinances. These are laws and ordinances that include leash law enforcement, noise complaints in relations to pets, and abuse and neglect complaints. Mrs. Bradley will also manage and maintain the city dog pound.
"Mrs. Bradley has expressed a sincere interst in this position and true concern for the welfare of dogs and other animals. Mrs. Bradley seems very enthusiastic about this position and has some great ideas on how we can improve upon the city animal control," said Chester Police Chief Ryan Coffey. "I'm confident her ideas and genuine interest will benefit and better serve our citizens and their pets."
This new animal control format is a division of the Chester Police Department. Citizens are encourages to call the Chester Police Department at 826-5454 for any complaints concerning animal control.
