The Marshall Browning Way

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Small candy hearts decorated the table as members of the Marshall Browning Hospital Auxiliary gathered at the hospital in Du Quoin, some in red for the Valentine's theme, to celebrate their recent success in the Tree of Life campaign.

Despite the inclement weather, 47 members attended to show their support for the campaign.

The auxiliary met its goal of $20,000 and used the donations to purchase two bariatric stretchers for the emergency room (the stretchers are capable of holding more weight and are more accurate in weighing a patient located anywhere on the stretcher which is important for the dispensing of drugs) and a power chair lift for the physical therapy pool (to aid disabled patients in getting in the pool).

This was the Tree of Life's 13th year. The auxiliary has over 80 members ranging in age from 17 to 91. Over the years the campaign has raised over $200,000. Donations raised by the campaign often go toward equipment that can be used by all.
