Chester Clean Up Days set for June 8-11

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Chester City Clean Up Days will be Monday, June 8 through Thursday, June 11. This service is provided by the City of Chester and Panther City Hauling for all residents. The city maintenance department staff will pick up any items placed curbside during these days. The items will be disposed of in the large dumpsters provided by Panther City Hauling for these Clean Up Days. All residents should put items out Monday through Thursday and the pick-ups will be made from 7am to 3pm during these days.

The Maintenance Staff will appreciate phone messages indicating that an address does have items to be picked up. Please call 826-3712 when all items are ready for pick up at your address. This will prevent multiple trips for the workers.

Special assistance can be provided for handicapped or elderly residents by calling 826-5114. Residents may also bring their items for disposal to the Panther City Hauling dumpsters at the City Shop between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. during these special Clean Up Days only. Please present a Chester utility bill for proof of residency.

This is a great opportunity to dispose of accumulated items which are no longer needed, bulky broken items too large to fit in the residential totes, old furniture and any clutter from around the house and garage. Residents are reminded that all general household trash will be picked up by Panther City Hauling and will not be accepted by the city. Items for the city pick-up should be kept separate from the regular trash totes. The following items can not be accepted: tires, batteries, general household trash, oil, liquid paint, remodeling debris, roofing materials, hazardous waste materials.

Residents are reminded to only keep items for disposal at the curb during these Clean Up Days. Other personal items should be put away on property so no pick-up errors are made.

For more information regarding the City Clean Up Days please contact: City Shop 826-3712 or Mayor's office 826-5114.
