SWIMMING INDIANS KEEP PERFECT SISL RECORD
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Five more records were shattered as another Du Quoin Swimming Indians opponent fell by the wayside Thursday night.
Continuing its best regular season ever, the Swim Tribe handed Mt. Vernon's King City Flippers a 442-148 defeat at the Municipal Pool and improved to 6-0 for the season.
Du Quoin's perfect mark in Southern Illinois Swim League (SISL) competition will be challenged next week at Marion.
The two undefeated squads meet to crown the 2009 SISL champion July 16.
New DQST records set against Mt. Vernon were:
-Girls 7-8 100m Medley relay , 1:41.82 (Maddison Dorsey, Tori Ehlers, Olivia Cravens, Rachel Gomes) That group had set the previous record (1:46.18) earlier this season. The same foursome also broke the one year-old record in the 7-8 100 Freestyle relay at 1:25.3, eclipsing the old mark by nearly five seconds.
- Girls 15-18 50m Freestyle: Taylor Stanhouse, 30.29. The old record of 30.52 was held by Jada Helmer (2003).
- Boys 13-14 50m Breaststroke: John Galik , 35.24. Galik's previous team record was 35.92 a few weeks back.
- Girls 7-8 25m Freestyle: Olivia Cravens, 18.21. The former record was 18.32 from 1998 Caryn Parrish.
