Du Quoin, Pinckneyville to Consider Airport Plan
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Du Quoin and Pinckneyville city councils tonight are expected to approve like agreements to fund the construction of new airplane hangars at the Pinckneyville-Du Quoin airport.
The project was carried over from its original inception last year because of budget considerations. The $900,000-plus project will cost the cities of Du Quoin and Pinckneyville about $21,500 each in matching funds. A Springfield architect is in charge of the project.
Tonight's Du Quoin agenda also includes the following:
-- Resolution 2009-R07-01: a resolution authorizing/approving the bids for the oil and chip program.
-- Approve to acquire property currently owned by John Bandura
-- Approve an agreement between the City and Alongi's Since 1933 (TIF #1)
-- Approve an agreement between the City and Two Raggedy Sisters (TIF #1)
n Discuss, consider, vote on issues related to reopening an alley between Ballentine and Blackburn Streets
-- Reappoint Gene Gross, Ed Lanum, and John Croessman to the Historic Preservation Committee.
-- Other business, public comment and a possible executive session before adjournment.
