Du Quoin Wins 11 League Events

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Du Quoin's Swimming Indians officially ended their best regular season in more than two decades Saturday, finishing third in the Southern Illinois Swim League (SISL) Championship at Mt. Vernon's Veterans Park Pool.

The Indians-with 355 points-trailed only Marion (411) and Herrin (406) in the final team standings.

Mt. Vernon (282), Salem (218.5), Centralia (161), Harrisburg (158) and Anna (114) completed the field.

One more team record was set for Du Quoin as John Galik improved his existing record to 34.89 in the Boys 13-14 50m Breaststroke.

Top finishers from the SISL finals advance into next weekend's All-Star Meet, held in Millstadt.
