Ellis Grove board meeting

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Ellis Grove held its monthly board meeting on Monday, August 3, 2009.

The following items were discussed and approved:

Water Tower/Grant - A pre-construction conference will be held at the Village Hall on Wednesday, September 2, at 9 a.m. The bid from Caldwell Tanks was $427,500.

The board approved a request for pay from J T Blankinship for 90% of the $41,000 for design fees. $36,900 will be paid when funds are released.

Waterline to Kaskaskia Lock & Dam - The board approved the offer from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers to provide potable water to the Lock & Dam at the cost of $300,000.

The board approved a proclamation to support all efforts to make the public aware of the need to participate in the 2010 Census.

The September board meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 8, due to the Labor Day Holiday.
