Sheriff Kellerman Seeks Re-Election

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Perry County Sheriff Keith Kellerman today announced his bid for re-election as Perry County Sheriff. Kellerman has been with the sheriff's office since 1992, beginning as a correctional officer, deputy sheriff, and sergeant. He has served as sheriff since first being elected in 1998.

Being an active member of the Perry County Drug Task Force, Kellerman states, "By working together with other law enforcement agencies, we have been able to make a difference in the drug trafficking by diminishing drug dealers and users who damage our communities."

Sheriff Kellerman is an active member of the Illinois Sheriff's Association, serving on the legislative committee and state agency liaison committee.

Since 1998 Sheriff Kellerman has given out nearly 40 scholarships to high school seniors for college, helping our youth obtain a good college education.

Kellerman states in his career with the Perry County Sheriff's Office he has worked diligently for the citizens of this county in order to preserve the future of Perry County. "I wish to continue my service to all citizens and appreciate your support in the upcoming election."

Keith has served in the U.S. Navy with an honorable discharge and is married to wife Jill. The couple's two children are Jordan, who is attending University of Missouri of Science and Technology in Rolla studying Engineering and Amanda, who is attending John A. Logan College studying pre-med.
