Chester Board of Education holds special meeting

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Board of Education of Chester Community Unit School District No. 139 met in the Chester School District Unit Office on August 31, 2009. President Beers called the Special Meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

Shelly Childerson from Nevco gave a presentation for the High School Scoreboards.

Todd Jones, with Meverts, discussed the Health Life Safety and Working Cash projects with the Board.

No action was taken on the approval of the scoreboard for the Colbert Gym at the high school. The Board has requested Nevco to submit another bid.

No action was taken on the approval of the Golf Cart for the High School Athletic Fields.

The Board adjourned at 8:00 p.m.

The next Regular Meeting of the Board of Education will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. in the Chester School District Unit Office, 1940 Swanwick St., Chester, IL.
