The young Indians, 3-3, remained perfect in three River-to-River Conference games within the Mississippi Division following a 50-26 win at Pinckneyville.

Next Monday, Du Quoin hosts Nashville and Pinckneyville (0-6, 0-3) visits Sparta.

After Du Quoin fumbled the opening kickoff, Pinckneyville scored on its first offensive play as Dylan Hardin ran 23 yards. The PAT kick was blocked.

Du Quoin would score on its first play as Sam Gossett raced 72 yards on a quarterback keeper. Diggins' kick would give the Indians the lead for good, but the fireworks had just started.

John Galik stretched Du Quoin's lead to 13-6 with a 74-yard interception return for a TD. Diggins made the score 14-6.

Barely two minutes, the Tribe would score again on Quivon Bledsoe's four-yard run and another Diggins kick.

The Panthers answered midway through the second period on Hardin's four-yard run. Dalton Hubler added the PAT run.

Ahead 21-14, Du Quoin regained its two touchdown lead 90 seconds before halftime when Gossett threw a 24-yard TD pass to Kegan Robbins. Diggins' kick was again true.

Hubler's 23-yard pass to Justin Hale was the lone third quarter score before things heated up again in the final period.

Hubler bulled in from the one-yard line with 10:46 left to trim the lead to 28-26. Du Quoin, however, stopped the two-point conversion and scored just six plays later on Diggins' 29-yard run.

Diggins rushed in for a second score-this time from 22 yards away-at the 5:32 mark. He also booted two more PAT's as Du Quoin surged ahead 42-26.

With just over two minutes left, Trayvon Jones finished the scoring on an 8-yard run. Nate Boss ran for the two-pointer.

Defensively for the Panthers, C.J. Opp and Austin Pyatt had fumble recoveries.

Dylan Pyron of Du Quoin blocked a PAT kick and Galik ended up with two interceptions-returning the second pick 64 yards deep into Panther territory.
