Coach Jennifer Rheinecker noted after the win, "I thought the girls played much better tonight against Steeleville. In games two and three we started to play as a team. M we passed better and began to hit the ball. Passing was there, sets were there and players were digging up hits off the blocker's hands."

Tuesday the girls lost to Pinckneyville at Pinckneyville, 14-25 and 18-25 to drop to 7-15 overall and 0-3 in the conference. Thursday Chester lost to at Nashville, 5-25 and 21-25 to drop to 8-16 overall and 0-4 in the SIRR Conference.

Coach Rheinecker stated after the Nashville game," I thought the girls played an okay game tonight, but passing was not good and neither was blocking. We constantly played defense. The girls came out swinging and passing much better in the second game and started playing better as a team. Nashville was quick and big but overall it was not a bad night."
