Mother Nature's Impacting Local Sports Events

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The forecast for thunderstorms-perhaps severe-and the chance of continuing rain has forced the postponement of Du Quoin High School's home freshman football game Thursday night.

The young Indians will now host Nashville at 5 o'clock Monday with the sophomore game to follow.

Also called off Thursday was the Panther Cross Country Invitational meet at Pinckneyville and the Elverado-Trico vs. Sesser-Valier/W-W frosh football game.

Despite the call for more heavy rain- and isolated strong thunderstorms, all football games are on for Friday night.

The SIJHSAA Class L Baseball finals have been postponed until Monday because of the rain.
