Monday's Volleyball: Steeleville Surprises Lady Panthers

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[One of Southern Illinois' top Class A teams-Steeleville-left Thomas Gym with a narrow victory over Pinckneyville Monday night.

Scores were 25-23 and 26-24 as the Lady Warriors improved to 20-6 on the season.

Pinckneyville's net record dropped to 11-16 entering Tuesday's final River-to-River Conference match at Sparta.

Mo Ramsey had six kills to pace Pinckneyville's effort against Steeleville with Haleigh Hagood and Maddie Keith each adding five kills.

REGIONAL TOURNAMENT PAIRINGS

The Lady Panthers have been assigned to next week's Class 2A Regional at Red Bud, where they'll play the host team at 5:30 Thursday, Oct. 29.

Columbia, Sparta and Waterloo Gibault are also entered in the rugged regional.

The championship match is Halloween night.
