#204 Lady Tigers Invitational: DMS Rolls, T/SB Rallies

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Du Quoin (Middle School) evened its record to 1-1 at the #204 Lady Tigers Invitational Tuesday night, romping past Thompsonville (Grade School).

The final score was 38-13.

Now 2-4 overall, DMS continues tourney play Thursday against Chester (Junior High School).

Abby Myers scored a game-high 16 points for Du Quoin with Hailey Stewart adding 11 points.

Jacqueline Harsy chipped in with seven. Katrina Whitley and Amanda Atteberry each added two points.

DMS led the entire way, forging ahead 22-9 as the first half ended.

Also Tuesday night, Tamaroa/St. Bruno (2-0) improved to 8-1 with a 20-16 win over Pinckneyville (Junior High School).

Bailey Nippe had seven points with Kayla Harris adding six points and eight rebounds.

Katelyn Mayer topped PJHS (1-1) with nine.

"It was a very physical game and I am very proud of my girls for staying tough," T/SB coach Jimmy Harris said.

PJHS was in front 5-0 after one quarter, 11-9 at halftime and 15-10 as the final period began.

Host Pinckneyville (#204) is also 2-0 after defeating Chester (Junior High School) in Tuesday's first game.
