Panthers Impressive on Opening Night; Dudek Scores 20

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Pinckneyville cruised to a 63-25 victory over West Frankfort on opening night at Thomas Gym, forcing 27 turnovers from the Redbirds while three Panthers scored in double figures.

Drew Dudek led the way with 20 points, Jake Bathon added 12, and Kyle Lamb finished with 10.

The Panthers built a 16-6 lead at the end of the first quarter and were never seriously threatened the rest of the way, dominating the glass and frusting the Redbirds with intense defense.

Pinckneyville will see action again next Friday when they host Waterloo-Gibault.
